About activities

Activities is a collective term used to refer to appointments and tasks. These can be used to plan your work on a day to day basis.
With the activity functionality offered in Service Hub you will be able to:

  • Search and view activities
  • Add material (Assets & Products)
  • Add attachments

There are several ways to start working with activities. You can either use one of the pre-configured lists (e.g. 'My open activities' or 'Unassigned activities in my queues') which are available through the navigation drawer and list selector, create your own custom lists to organize and view the activities to suit your needs or you can use the search option to find the activity you are looking for.

Properties and tabs

Information regarding activities is structured using different UI-elements. The primary activity information is displayed on the property cards. There are two tabs displayed in activities, Materials and Attachments. The materials tab displays materials which have been added to the activity. The attachments tab will display attachments which have been added to the activity.

Property Card

The property card provides you with the most relevant information about the opened activity. The property card The information displayed regarding the ticket, contact, SLA, asset and service. A full detailed list of available properties per contact type can be found here.

Data Grids

On the activity detail pages two data grids are displayed in dedicated sub tabs.

Materials

The material's data grid lists all materials which have been added to the activity you are viewing. You can remove listed materials or add new ones to the list. Materials can be either assets or products.

Attachments

Files and URLs directly attached to a contact will be displayed within this list. As a user you are able to upload new attachments and delete existing attachments. Please check the attachments section for more details on how to work with attachments.

Add, edit & remove material

As long as an activity is open (i.e. not skipped, completed or cancelled) you will have the ability to add materials.

Adding material

To add material you can either use the context menu and select add material or simply press the plus sign located on the top right of the material grid. A new form is opened where you will decide weather you want to add an asset or product. In the top right you can enter a product or asset to search for to limit the returned results. If multiple rows are returned you can select all the products or assets you want to add. You will notice that every selected product or asset added will be displayed below the grid.

Editing material

After adding the asset or product you can open it from the material data grid. In the form that opens next you can edit the asset or product. Once you are done you can save or cancel your changes.

Removing material

To remove material you can simply select the material listed in the data gird. This can be one or multiple listed assets or products, once you have selected the materials you wish to delete you can press the remove button located on the bottom right of your screen.
