Authentication

Every time you browse to your service hub URL you will be directed to the sign in page.

Service Hub offers two options to sign in. You will be able to sign in using a username and password and, if enabled by your administrator, you can use a social account for signing in.

Sign in page

Username / password

In case you want to sign in to Service Hub using a username and password you can enter these here. After entering your credentials and you either press the sign in-button or press enter on a desktop you will be signed in to Service Hub.

Forgot

When you unexpectedly forget your password you have the option to recover it by pressing the Forgot?-link. After you press the link a new form will open requesting your username or the email address linked to that username. After providing the required information you can either press cancel or confirm the request by pressing reset.

Resetting your password

You will not have to worry that your password can be reset without you knowing. If you didn't request the reset you will always receive an email, you can ignore this email. Your password won't change until you are the one that creates a new password.

Social providers

There are currently two social providers that are secure enough to be used to be linked with your Service Hub account. You will be able to use the following providers for social accounts.

  • Microsoft
  • Google

Linking accounts

The first time you want to use your social login to sign in to Service Hub you will first have to login to that social account. After logging into that account you will be redirected to another form which will require you to sign in to your Service Hub account. After successfully signing in, the two accounts will be linked and you will be able to use the social account you chose to directly sign in to Service Hub. You will be able to link multiple social accounts to your Service Hub account.

Using multiple social provider accounts

Take into account that you can not link, for example, two different microsoft accounts to the same Service Hub account. Also it is not possible to link one specific social account to multiple Service Hub accounts.

Removing social accounts

You can remove linked social accounts by going into your user profile after logging into Service Hub, go to the Account-tab and remove the social account you want.
